AUSTIN (KXAN) — There are more than 50 endangered species that can be found in the state of Texas, and 11 are located in Central Texas. POWNAL, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A Pownal, Vermont, man was arrested on a warrant on Friday regarding a domestic assault case. Vermont State Police say they were called to a residence on Montgomery Road in Pownal, Vermont, around 10:24 p.m. Friday night. While investigating the incident, police say they learned St. Pierre, who was involved, had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear regarding a previous domestic assault case.St. Pierre was arrested and taken to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Police Foundation is spending around $860,000 to add more overtime patrols around downtown St. Louis.This is part of an 'Anti-Violence Crime Initiative' that launched last month. The St. Louis Post Dispatch reported that the pilot program pays officers around $70 an hour in overtime pay. The non-profit helps women returning home from prison transition back to a normal life.Proceeds from the tournament help in that mission and also support the children of those women by providing them with school supplies and meals. The golf fundraiser is at the Eagle Springs Golf Course in Florissant on September 3. Denver residents can expect more hot weather as the work week starts before rain and thunderstorms bring cooler temperatures for the weekend.Temperatures are forecast to reach 99 degrees in Denver, which would break the city’s 2007 record high of 97 degrees, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder.High temperatures will gradually decrease throughout the week with a high of 94 on Tuesday, 91 on Wednesday and 89 on Thursday. Overnight thunderstorms are expected to cool temperatures to a high of 76 on Friday, with temperatures remaining in the low to mid 80s through the weekend.The metro and most of the northeastern plains also are under a heat advisory from noon to 8 p.m. Temperatures near the Kansas border could reach 102. But their dream could soon get more expensive.A possible annual 6% hike in tuition across the California State University (CSU) system, which Casper was previously unaware of, could force him to increase his college debt.
