Three-alarm fire rips through historic hotel in Richmond RICHMOND — A three-alarm fire early Monday displaced six people and left significant damage to a historic unoccupied hotel, fire officials said.The fire tore through the International Hotel, located on Ethel Dotson Street and caused fire and smoke damage to one home on both sides of the building, Richmond Fire Battalion Chief Rico Rincon said Tuesday. The fire rose to three alarms because of all of the surrounding homes that crews needed to protect, he said.Fire crews first were called to the blaze at 5:45 a.m. and found it engulfed in flames, Rincon said. Crews had it under control at 7 a.m.Nobody was injured.
